A casket burial is when a deceased person’s body is put in a casket by a funeral director. The casket is purchased at the funeral home. The casket is placed in an outer container which is also purchased at the funeral home. The outer container protects the casket after burial underground.
A cremains burial is when the deceased person’s body is cremated in a crematorium. Various receptacles can be used to hold the cremains. These can be purchased at the funeral home.
Lots Available for Casket or Cremains Burial
The cemetery has gravesites available for either casket or cremains burials. If you are interested in purchasing a gravesite, a cemetery representative will meet you at the cemetery and show you the sections that have gravesites available for purchase.
Columbarium Available for Cremains Burial in Niche
Our columbarium contains niches that are used for the burial of cremains. A single niche in the columbarium is one cubic foot and can be used to bury one or two cremains with size restrictions. A double niche can be used to bury two cremains. A bronze nameplate can be purchased to be placed on the front of the niche.
If you have purchased a monument for a grave, the monument company will contact the cemetery with specifications to order the required foundation. The payment for the foundation is made directly to the cemetery. Usually, the monument company will make the payment for the foundation on behalf of the person purchasing the monument. The cemetery pours foundations a few times throughout the year when weather permits. Once there are several foundations accumulated, we pour them all simultaneously. Therefore, if the monument company completes your monument, you may have to wait for the foundation to be completed before the monument can be placed.
A Veterans Marker that will be placed on the ground requires a foundation. If a person is ordering the Veterans Marker themselves, they can contact the cemetery also to request the foundation. If the marker is ordered through a monument company, they will send the foundation order to the cemetery. Payment for the foundation will be required at the time of the order.
Markers or Monuments
Markers or monuments can be purchased from a monument company. They can show you choices and discuss your preferences. It may be helpful to take a walk around the cemetery for examples of monuments that you like. We work with several local monument companies and can provide company names if you wish.
